The Duracell Mobile Mini is about the size of a standard card deck, maybe even smaller. There’s little weight to it but inside is a rechargeable battery that can store about 3000 mAh or so of juice. That’s more than double the 1350 mAh of my XV6700 standard battery, so when the Duracell dudes told us the Mobile Mini can fully recharge a cell phone at least two times, that made sense to me. The battery can be used to re-charge any device that accepts power via mini or standard USB…

Cingular Palm Treo 750 Pocket PC Phone

Exactly one year ago (to the day, actually), Palm shook the mobile device world by releasing the 700w, the first Palm device ever to run Windows Mobile. The union was successful. Palm was able to port their acclaimed usability features to Windows Mobile in a great way. Complaints were abound of the 700w not having enough RAM, and Palm responded with the 700wx, a device that added an additional 32MB of RAM, enough to make the device feel quick again. Now, in 2007, Palm is coming to the table with a GSM version of the Treo, this time with UMTS and no external antenna. Has Palm created another winner, or will we send it back to the R & D labs for improvements? Read on for the review, hot off the press!





Motorola Q Pro Formally Announced

The update to the Motorola Q, the CDMA Motorola Q Pro (so it should show up on Verizon/Sprint), turns from silver to black and adds several productivity applications (that allow the user to view Microsoft Office formats) along with some security enhancements like camera disable and data encryption




i-mate Adds JAQ3 and PDAL to US Lineup

At CES, i-mate announced that they’ll be selling the JAQ3 and PDAL Pocket PC phone devices in US markets. They have very different case designs, but in terms of hardware, they are almost identical: GSM and EDGE, an OMAP 201MHz processor, 64MB RAM & 128MB ROM, Bluetooth 1.2, 802.11b/g, 2.0MP camera, and AKU 3.2.
