Wi-Fi? Pffft. Sony’s late to the wireless photography party, but bypasses the hot spot in favor of the connected home. Its Cyber-shot DSC-G1 integrates DLNA–Digital Living Network Alliance–wireless connectivity, a superset of Wi-Fi that adds interdevice recognition. So far, though, there aren’t many DLNA-enabled devices.

info.gif To perform a safe soft reset: You would first press the ON/OFF button and put the device into suspend mode. After about 6 – 10 seconds, you can press the reset switch with your stylus for about 2 – 3 seconds. Your device will reset without losing any of the data.

Note: Avoid soft resetting while the device is still ON. This can cause your data to become corrupted. Also avoid applications that provide soft resetting capabilities without actually pressing the soft reset button.

Aspecto Software has recently released a new version of their wireless network scanner utility called WiFiFoFum v2.2 which is probably the best WiFi scanner and war driving software for Pocket PC 2003 and Windows Mobile 5 Pocket PC and Smartphone editions.  This version makes use of the latest features of .NET CF to give you the highest performance for war driving. With this version you can be confident your GPS logged coordinates for the networks you find are highly accurate, and can rely on a smooth user interface experience.  There is a PC msi installer which will install WiFiFoFum v2.2 and the Compact Framework 2.0 into your ActiveSync so you can install and uninstall from your device as you please. Alternatively you can use the CAB version of WiFiFoFum which you can install directly on your device, however you will need to make sure you also have CF 2.0 installed aswell
